  Showy Parrot-pea  - native  (Dillwynia sericea)
 
Family: Fabaceae (Pea family).
   
Native of Australia.
This is the most common local Parrot-pea.
 
Identify by:
- the broad standard
- the more or less straight, finely-warty   leaves, which are about a centimetre long
- the almost stalkless flowers
- the crowded flowers along the branches, sometimes resembling an egg and bacon bottlebrush
- the leaves may be parallel to the stems, or diverging.
sericea:  silky. (The silky hairs may be present or absent.)
