Showy Parrot-pea - native (Dillwynia sericea)

Family: Fabaceae (Pea family).

Native of Australia.

This is the most common local Parrot-pea.

Identify by:

• the broad standard
• the more or less straight, finely-warty leaves, which are about a centimetre long
• the almost stalkless flowers
• the crowded flowers along the branches, sometimes resembling an egg and bacon bottlebrush
• the leaves may be parallel to the stems, or diverging.

sericea: silky. (The silky hairs may be present or absent.)
