Occurrence: Rare. Scattered localities.
Identify by:
- it is a small bush
- it has small white tube flowers
- the small leaves are flat, with the undersurface clearly visible.
Name. cryptos: hidden; andros: man, the anthers are hidden by the petals; amara: bitter.

Prickly Cryptandra (Cryptandra tomentosa) grows in the Wedderburn area. Its leaves are rolled backwards, so that the undersurface is obscured.
