Trumpet Flower - introduced (*Campsis species)

Other names: Tecoma.

Family: Bignoniaceae (Bignonia family).

Native of the South America.

Occurrence: Uncommon, probably from dumping of garden refuse.

Identification:

• it is a climber with large, showy, reddish trumpet-shaped flowers
• the leaves are divided into toothed leaflets.

Notes: The most common species is Campsis radicans. However, several varieties are grown in gardens.
