Native of Australia.

Occurrence: Recorded for only two localities near Castlemaine - at Irishtown and in Muckleford Forest, south of the Red White and Blue Mine.

Identification:

It is not known whether or not these local plants are pioneer populations, or relics of a once more extensive population.

Name. Boronia: after Francesco Borone, an Italian botanist d 1794 aged 25; anemonifolia: Anemone-leaved.
